Foot Orthoses
Foot orthoses are a cornerstone of care at Lonis Foot Clinic . In this time thousands of people across the india have trusted us to provide orthotics that relieve pain, improve function, and support long-term mobility.

We specialise in two main types of orthotic devices:
• Custom 3D-Printed Functional Orthotics – created from a digital 3D scan of your feet and manufactured using cutting-edge 3D printing technology.
• Customised Prefabricated Orthotics – high-quality, pre-formed orthotic shells that we adapt in-clinic to suit your specific needs, footwear, and activity level.
We prescribe orthotics to:
• Alleviate Pain: Reduce strain on overloaded tissues such as the plantar fascia, Achilles tendon, forefoot joints, and knees.
• Improve Alignment: Address foot posture issues like overpronation, high arches, or leg length differences.
• Aid Injury Recovery: Support recovery from common conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tibialis posterior dysfunction, bunions, and metatarsalgia.
• Enhance Comfort & Efficiency: Improve walking and standing comfort, reduce fatigue, and support better biomechanics in both everyday life and sport.
• Prevent Recurrence: Provide long-term support to reduce the risk of repeat injuries or ongoing stress on vulnerable structures.
Foot orthoses are commonly used to treat:
- Heel Pain(e.g. plantar fasciitis, fat pad atrophy)
- Arch Pain or Flat Feet
- Achilles Tendon Pain
- Forefoot Pain(e.g. metatarsalgia, neuromas)
- Shin Pain(e.g. medial tibial stress syndrome)
- Knee Painrelated to poor foot mechanics
- Arthritis-related Foot Discomfort
- Recurrent Ankle Sprains or Instability
Paediatric Conditions (e.g. Sever’s disease, growing pains)

Foot orthosis, also known as a foot orthotic or orthotic, is an insert worn inside a shoe to support the foot and ankle, improving their function and addressing various conditions. They can be custom-made or prefabricated and are designed to control, correct, or compensate for foot deformities or impaired function. CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing) and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machines are revolutionizing the fabrication of custom foot orthotics, offering significant advantages over traditional methods.
